Visit at ICAP
Mrs. Hina Usmani, Mrs. Nigar Zaidi and Mrs. Noureen Khilji, all Partners of Usmani & Co. Chartered Accountants visited ICAP’s Head Office and met Mr. Khalid Rehman COO, Mr. Shoaib Ahmed , Executive Director Legal & Corporate Affairs, Mr. Shahid Hussain, Director Quality Assurance and Mr. Omair Jamal, Director Education and Training. The purpose of the meeting was two fold;
First, to present corporate profile of the Firm with its unique characteristic of being the only Firm owned and led by women Chartered Accountants and to inform the management of ICAP of appraisement given by US-Pakistan Women’s Council to the Firms Managing Partner, Mrs. Hina Usmani by selecting her as one of the most inspiring women of 2013. The partners shared with ICAP their vision and strategy for women empowerment and requested ICAP’s support for playing its role for promotion of the Firm’s vision and goals. Mr. Khalid Rehman COO of ICAP congratulated Mrs. Hina Usmani on her achievement and highly encouraged the Firm’s vision and advised the management of ICAP to support “the only women led Firm” at all levels.
Secondly, another initiative taken by the Firm to enter into a networking arrangement with another Firm of Chartered Accountant also owned by a female Accountant only, based in Quetta. Mrs. Hina Usmani and Mrs. Noureen Khilji partners of Usmani & Co. and Noureen & Co. respectively, signed the agreement in the presence of Mr. Khalid Rehman COO and management of the ICAP. Hence, UCo. has achieved another milestone by establishing the FIRST NETWORK of Chartered Accountant Firms , with uniqueness of networking between women owned firms. The network would be called “The UCoN Network of Women Accountants”.
Mr. Khalid Rehman, was appreciated the presence of a female Chartered Accountant Firm in Quetta Noureen & Co. Chartered Accountant and also opening of a branch office of Usmani & Co. Chartered Accountants in Quetta.
Mr. Rehman encouraged the partners for career counseling from ICAP’s platform in Karachi and Quetta.
